|Abstract:||This study is on availability, adequacy and Extent of utilization of instructional materials in the NCE programme of the National Teacher Institute in Ebonyi State. It was aimed at finding out the extent of availability, adequacy and utilization of instructional resources in NCE, NTI, DLS study centers in Ebonyi State. Three research questions were formulated to guide the study. Also, three hypotheses were tested at the alpha level of 0.05. The design was a descriptive survey. The population of the study comprised 101 centre supervisors and course tutors. The instrument for data collection was a checklist titled "Availability, Adequacy and Extent of Utilization of Instructional Resources Scale". Data were analyzed using frequency mode, mean and standard deviation. Hypothesis 1 was tested using chi-square statistics while hypothesis 2, and 3 were tested using t-test statistics of differences between two groups. The findings of the study revealed that most instructional resources are not available. The available ones are grossly inadequate and it was discovered that the available resources are utilized to a high extent. Based on these findings the paper recommended that government should make instructional resources available in the study centers, also, that the instructional resources should be made adequate etc. Suggestions for further study were also made.|
